Statement of Faith.
At Christian Kingdom Church, we believe that our faith is rooted in the infallible, authoritative Word of God. We hold firmly to the Scriptures as the ultimate guide for our lives, and we strive to live out the truths of God’s Word through Spirit-empowered living and active ministry. As a Charismatic church, we embrace the dynamic work of the Holy Spirit in the life of every believer, celebrating the diversity of backgrounds, cultures, and gifts within our community as a reflection of God’s Kingdom.
-
We believe that the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21). It is the complete revelation of God’s will for salvation and the final authority for faith and conduct. We are committed to teaching, preaching, and living according to the Scriptures.
-
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14). These three are co-equal and co-eternal, each with distinct roles but working harmoniously in creation, redemption, and sustaining the world.
-
We believe that God the Father is the Creator and Sustainer of all things (Genesis 1:1; Psalm 24:1). He is loving, just, and merciful, desiring a personal relationship with each person. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to redeem humanity from sin.
-
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God (John 1:1, 14). Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, He is fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross as the atoning sacrifice for our sins, rose bodily from the dead on the third day, and ascended to the right hand of the Father (1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Hebrews 4:15). Jesus is the only way to salvation (John 14:6), and He will return to establish His kingdom in power and glory.
-
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, actively working in the world and in the lives of believers. As a Charismatic church, we believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a subsequent experience to salvation, evidenced by speaking in tongues (Acts 2:4; Acts 10:44-46). The Spirit empowers believers for ministry, guides into all truth, and enables them to live a holy and fruitful life (Acts 1:8; Galatians 5:22-23). We believe in the active presence of spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians 12:4-11), including prophecy, healing, miracles, and tongues, which are vital for edification, encouragement, and the building up of the Church.
-
We believe that all people are created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27), but through Adam’s disobedience, sin entered the world, and all have sinned and fall short of God’s glory (Romans 3:23). Sin separates humanity from God, and without redemption, results in eternal separation (Romans 6:23).
-
We believe that salvation is a gift of grace from God, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8-9). It is not achieved by human effort but through repentance and faith in the atoning work of Jesus on the cross. Believers are justified, sanctified, and ultimately glorified through His sacrifice (Romans 5:1; 8:30).
-
We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is a distinct and empowering experience for believers, giving them boldness to witness and serve (Acts 1:8). The evidence of this baptism is speaking in tongues, as seen in the early church (Acts 2:4; Acts 19:6). We encourage believers to seek the fullness of the Spirit for effective ministry and personal growth.
-
We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, consisting of all born-again believers (1 Corinthians 12:12-14). The Church exists to glorify God, edify the saints, and fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20). We gather for worship, teaching, fellowship, prayer, and outreach, committed to guiding future generations to know Jesus as King.
-
We believe in the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
Baptism: An outward declaration of inward faith, symbolizing the believer’s identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4).
Communion: A commemoration of the Lord’s death, partaking of the bread and cup in remembrance of His sacrifice (1 Corinthians 11:23-26).
-
We believe that God calls all believers to a life of holiness, service, and witness (1 Peter 1:15-16). Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we live in love, humility, and obedience to Christ, demonstrating His character in our daily lives (Galatians 5:16-25). We embrace the gifts of the Spirit as a means to build up the body of Christ and witness to the world.
-
We believe that marriage is a sacred union between one man and one woman, as ordained by God (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6). Families are foundational to society, and we uphold biblical values in raising future generations to love and honor God.
-
We believe in the visible, personal return of Jesus Christ (Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). He will judge the living and the dead, and His kingdom will have no end. We believe in the resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous, the eternal blessedness of the saved, and the eternal separation of the lost (Matthew 25:46; Revelation 20:11-15).
